Police reached on the information of murder in Gehri Buttar village.
The woman killed her husband in Gehri Buttar village of Bathinda district of Punjab and fled from the spot. The deceased was identified as Sandeep Singh (22). Sandeep married a migrant laborer Saraswati two years ago. Police have now registered a case against the wife and started searching for her.

Both were identified in the factory
According to the information, Sandeep Singh, who worked in the factory, had married two years ago to Saraswati, a woman from Odisha who worked with him. The husband and wife were living at their home in Gehri Buttar village. Lovedeep Singh, brother of the deceased youth told that Sandeep’s wife put some sleeping medicine in the cold drink. After this, when he fell into a deep sleep, he killed him by hitting him on the head with something. Thereafter, the said woman fled from the spot.

Aadhar card village only
Lovedeep Singh told that his sister-in-law has fled from the spot. The only thing that is known about the said woman is that she is a resident of Odisha, there is not much information about it. After marriage, his Aadhar card is also recorded at the address of village Gehri Buttar.

Weapons used in murder seized
As soon as the information of the murder was received, SHO of Sangat Mandi police station Jaswinder Singh reached the spot along with the police party. Police have started investigation by taking possession of the murder weapon. SHO Jaswinder Singh said that the family members of the deceased have raised suspicion that Sandeep Singh was murdered by his wife. A case of murder has been registered against the said woman at Sangat Mandi police station and her search has been started.
