Mandala23 minutes ago

Due to continuous rain in Mandla district for two days, rivers and streams are in spate. The effect of heavy rains in Mandla-Dindori region is being seen in Narmada and its tributaries. Due to which the small bridge located at Rapata Ghat in Mandla has again submerged. Due to incessant rains, the water level of Narmada river has increased significantly. This increases the risk of flooding in low-lying settlements.

It has been told that at present the Narmada river is below the danger mark, but in view of the ever-increasing water level, the administration is on alert. Narmada water is flowing from about 5-6 feet above the small bridge located at Rapata Ghat. However, due to the sinking of the smaller bridge, the traffic was moving freely through the bigger bridge. The people of the city have started gathering to see the panoramic view of the flood waters flowing from the small bridge to the Narmada. Due to which all arrangements have been made for security including barricading and deployment of security personnel. Barricading has been done on both sides of the bridge for safety. Policemen are deployed.
