Shri Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated in Mathura. Devotees from different states across the country have reached Mathura to participate in the Janmashtami festival. The process of devotees reaching Mathura continued throughout the night. Till Friday morning, more than 15 lakh devotees have reached Mathura, Vrindavan, Gokul.

Mathura and Vrindavan have been divided into three zones and 16 sectors for the safety of Janmashtami. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also stay in Mathura and Vrindavan for three and a half hours on Janmashtami. Jai Kanhaiya Lal is echoing all around in Mathura.

More than 50 thousand devotees are engaged in the queue at Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple. More than two lakh devotees have visited the temple in a day.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will spend three and a half hours in Mathura-Vrindavan on Janmashtami. Yogi will reach Vrindavan by helicopter at one o’clock. At 1.10 am will go to Annapurna Bhawan Vrindavan. Here, after visiting Annapurna Bhawan, Prasad will be distributed to the devotees. At 1.55 pm, TFC will arrive in Vrindavan at Shri Krishna Janmotsav. There he will inaugurate Annapurna Bhawan. Will go to Mathura Janmabhoomi at 4 pm. Will stay here for 30 minutes. After this will go to Agra at 4.30 pm, then return to Lucknow.

7 thousand security personnel will be deployed
Mathura and Vrindavan have been divided into three zones and 16 sectors for the sake of security for the birth anniversary of Shri Krishna. Seven thousand police and PAC personnel will be deployed. Apart from this, ATS will also be deployed around the birthplace. Apart from this 47 barriers have been made. Forces have also been called from other districts.

All Hotels – Dharamshala Book
Booking started in Mathura-Vrindavan for Janmashtami from two months ago in hotels and Dharamshala. There are more than 700 Hotel Dharamshala in Mathura district. But, a week before Janmashtami, everything was completely filled. Those who arrived a day earlier, did not find a place in the hotel and in Dharamshala.

The devotees were forced to spend the night on the roads. People slept at the petrol pump, bus stand, railway station wherever they got the place. Apart from this, in the hall of the marriage home, people were given a place to sleep at the rate of 200 to 300 rupees per person.

More than 200 Bhandaras held

More than 200 Bhandaras have been organized for the devotees in Mathura-Vrindavan. Devotees are having food in the stores since night. Poori-vegetables, halwa, bananas, fasting items and sherbet are available in the stores.

This program will happen at Shri Krishna’s birthplace

  • 11 o’clock in the night – Shri Ganapati and new home establishment worship.
  • Sahastrachan will happen till 11.55 pm.
  • 11.59 pm – The doors will be closed for Pratavya Darshan.
  • 12.00 pm- Pravatya Darshan.
  • From 12.05 am to 12.20 – Payodhar Maha Abhishek.
  • Janmabhishek to be seated in a silver lotus flower from 12.20 to 12.40 at night.
  • Shringar Aarti from 12.40 pm.
  • Shayan Aarti from 1.25 PM.

Dwarkadhish Temple

  • At 10.00 pm – the first tableau will open.
  • 11.45 am – There will be darshan of Thakur ji’s birth.

Program of Thakur Banke Bihari Temple

  • 12 o’clock in the night- Aaradhya will be Maha Abhishek with Panchamrit and herbs. The entry of devotees will be closed during this time.
  • 1.45 pm – The doors will be opened for darshan.
  • At 1.55 pm – Thakur ji’s mangla aarti will be held. This happens once a year.
  • 2.00 pm – The curtain will be thrown by splashing.
  • Aaradhya will have darshan from 2 pm to 5.30 am.
