Many cultural programs based on Radha Krishna Leela were held on the eve of Janmashtami at Rising Child School, Prabhutown, Rae Bareli. Little children of the school reached the school in the dress of Radha, Krishna, Sudama, Vasudev, etc., holding the finger of their parents.
Matki and Makhan were arranged by the school. As soon as Partha Kakkar in the costume of Lord Krishna broke the pot, the whole atmosphere resonated with the echoes of “Jai Shree Krishna” and “Elephant horse palanquin Jai Kanhaiya Lal ki”.
The children of the school had a lot of fun on the songs “Aaj Radha ko Shyam Nazar”, “Govinda Aala Re”, “Mach gaya shor sari nagri mein”, “Vrindavan ka Krishna Kanhaiya” etc. The performance of the children like Ernika, Vedansh, Pragya, Aaradhya, Abhya, Rudransh, Samarth, Amulya, Shivanya, Shaivya etc. was very commendable.
School Manager Arvind Srivastava, Advocate, while wishing everyone a Happy Janmashtami, rewarded the children. Principal Seema Srivastava explained in detail the reason and importance of celebrating Janmashtami to the children.
