Caught 2 gangsters associated with Narco Terror Module: Terrorists sitting in Pakistan used to work for Rinda and Lakhbir, 50 thousand more pistols recovered

Punjab’s Tarn Taran Police has arrested two gangsters associated with Narco Terror Module. The arrested gangsters have been identified as Prabhdeep Singh alias Prabh and Simranjit resident of village Pakhopur, Tarn Taran. Both the accused used to work for terrorist Harminder Singh alias Harinder Singh alias Rinda sitting in Pakistan and Lakhbir Singh alias Landa, a gangster sitting in Canada.

50 thousand rupees of ransom money and a pistol have been recovered from the accused. If the SSP of Tarn Taran Ranjit Singh Dhillon is to be believed, then after the interrogation more seizures can be made simultaneously with the arrests.

On September 8, three gangsters associated with this module were arrested. The arrested gangsters Nachhatar Singh, Sukhdev Singh and Harpreet Singh were all residents of Tarn Taran. One and a half kg of explosives, one Chinese pistol and one country-made pistol, besides cartridges were recovered from them. Since then all three were on police remand. During interrogation, all three had told that they work for Harinder Singh Rinda and Lakhbir Singh. The accused had also disclosed the names of many more accomplices, including Prabhdeep Singh and Simranjit Singh. The police had started searching for everyone and now both the accused were caught by the police.

SSP Ranjit Singh Dhillon said that the accused and his accomplices sitting abroad used to demand ransom from businessmen as well as famous people to meet the shortage of money. With this money, they used to get weapons and drugs from Pakistan. During interrogation, it has come to light that outside the house or office of the person from whom the ransom was to be demanded, a member of this gang used to keep in touch with his other accomplice on the phone. After which he used to call his victim and tell what color clothes he was wearing, where he was present and then scared him and demanded ransom from him.

He told that Harinder Rinda used to send arms and drugs to India through drones with the help of smugglers sitting in Pakistan. Many people associated with this module used to work to take this consignment to their destination. These include the arrested Simranjit Singh and Prabhdeep Singh.
