2422 liters of adulterated ghee, 1185 liters of refined including wrappers, ghee making machines and packing cartoons were recovered in the boxes of companies like Madhusudan, Krishna, Mother Dairy, Patanjali, Amul, Paras etc.
The team of Badarpur Border Crime Branch has busted the factory manufacturing adulterated ghee and Maggi masala of various branded companies on the information of the informer and arrested two people. 2422 liters of fake ghee, 1185 liters of refined, including wrappers, ghee making machines and packing cartoons have been recovered from their possession in the cartons of companies like Madhusudan, Krishna, Mother Dairy, Patanjali, Amul, Paras etc. The police took this action jointly with the team of Food Supply Department. Both the accused have been produced in the court and taken on police remand. The arrested accused have been identified as Atul (42) resident of IP Colony and Lalit (40) resident of Palla.
Police spokesman Sube Singh said that the police had received information that a factory for making spurious ghee was operating in the Sarai area. The accused supplies spurious ghee in the boxes of branded companies like Amul, Mother Dairy, Patanjali for sale in the markets. On information, the team of Crime Branch informed the Food Supply Department. Taking joint action, Food Supply Officer Dr Sachin Sharma and the police team raided the factory. From there 2422 liters of fake ghee, 1185 liters of refined, wrappers and packing cartoons of branded companies have been recovered from there. The Food Supply Department has sent the sample to the lab and after the report comes, action will also be taken against the factory owner by the Food Safety Department. At present the factory has been sealed.
The accused used to do milk work, has gone to jail
Police said that in the preliminary investigation, it has come to the fore that the accused Atul used to do milk work earlier. From where the idea of making adulterated ghee came from it. The accused was arrested a year ago by Surajkund police in a similar case. After coming back from jail, he changed his place and started doing the same thing again. Where the accused supplies the adulterated ghee is being investigated.
Lalit accused of making fake Maggi masala
19200 pieces fake Maggi masala and packing machine recovered
A joint team of Crime Branch Badarpur Border and Food and Supplies Department has busted a factory manufacturing fake Maggi masala in Palla area. Lalit, a resident of Bamnikheda village of Palwal, is involved in this business. Presently he lives in Palla area. Police spokesman said that the accused works in making fake Maggi masala on Naveen Nagar Road in Palla area. Puts spices in the wrappers of branded companies and supplies them in the market. From the spot, the team recovered open fake Maggi masala filled in a plastic bag and 19200 packets of fake Maggi masala filled in 5 bags and packing machine and empty wrappers of masala. The accused is being questioned on day remand.
