Farmers are going to open this front against the Central Government, Uttar Pradesh Government and Union Minister Ashish Mishra Teni. Farmers belonging to Kirti Kisan Union will go to Uttar Pradesh via train. At the same time, farmers of Doaba and Majha will leave by trains as well as in their private vehicles. Arrangements have been made for trucks to transport ration for the farmers’ dharna.

Recently, in the meeting of 31 batches of Punjab held in Phagwara, it was decided to send a batch of 10 thousand farmers to Uttar Pradesh. Bharatiya Kisan Union Doaba President Manjit Singh Rai has made a video viral on social media and has also called upon all the farmers and youth to go for Lakhimpur Kheri in maximum numbers. He said that a batch from Phagwara would leave by train in the evening. Farmers of district Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar, Kapurthala, Hoshiarpur will also gather at Phagwara in the evening and from here they will leave for Likhampur Kheri (Uttar Pradesh) in the train.

He said that the batch of farmers going from Punjab would stage a sit-in at Lakhimpur Kheri from August 18 to August 20. He said that the farmers will demand that Ashish Mishra Teni, son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra, who is the killer of farmers, should be given the strictest punishment. Ajay Mishra should be removed from the post and he should also be punished. He said that apart from this, there would be a demand from the Uttar Pradesh government that the false cases registered against the farmers during the agitation should be withdrawn. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party government of Uttar Pradesh had filed false cases against many farmers. The Kisan Union has also released posters by putting photos of the farmers killed in Lakhimpur Kheri. Which is also going viral on social media.
