Lakhan, who entered the world of crime, was caught by the police in 2017 after 4 years. In 2017, he was accused of threatening and raping a 17-year-old minor girl. After this, a case of rape was registered against Lakhan in Surajkund police station. Lakhan absconded after the case was registered. The villagers protested several times to capture him.
In 2017, the then police commissioner had placed a reward of Rs 10,000 on him. A few days later, the police of Mahila Thana arrested the accused. Lakhan was accused of pressurizing the aggrieved party to withdraw the case. However, in the year 2019, he was sentenced to 10 years by a fast track court. Since then he was in jail.

On 24 November 2019, Sudhir Bhadana, a resident of Anangpur in Udayrampur Nangla, Hapur, was shot dead. Lakhan’s name appeared in it. Devender Singh’s son Sachin and Sagar, a resident of Anangpur, had come to Udayrampur in Hapur. During the farewell in the evening, the bike riders reached there.
