In the latest episode of the show, Math expert Gurudev Bharat got a chance to sit on the hotseat.
On 26 August 2022, there was a Play Along episode, in which Gurudev Bharat, the head of the math department, sat on the hotseat in front of Big B. Amitabh Bachchan welcomed Gurudev on the show and introduced him to all the rules of the game. After the game started, Gurudev won Rs 6 lakh, 40 thousand rupees, but he got stuck on the question of 12 lakh 50 thousand. Interestingly, that question was also related to Maths.
What was the question?
A question related to Maths was asked from Gurudev India. He was asked, “Which of these persons met and befriended mathematician S Ramanujan while both were at the University of Cambridge?” The options were given, first- Jesse Bose, second- PC Mahalanobis, third- Meghnad Saha, fourth- PC Ray. The correct answer to this question was PC Ray.
Gurudev quits the game by avoiding taking a risk
The head of the math department, Gurudev Bharat, did not know the answer to this question. He had already used up all his lifelines. After much deliberation, he decided that he would not take the risk. So he called the game off. Gurudev went to his house with prize money of Rs 6 lakh 40 thousand.
