Now Ali has given the reason behind leaving the show in an interview to ‘Bombay Times’.
Reasons for leaving the show
The actor said, “I was not creatively satisfied as my character (Nani) was not growing. I had informed the team about it even before I went to Australia (2017). I had to do a lot as a grandmother, which did not fit with the character of Nani. When it came time to renew my contract, I spoke to the team and I told them that, I am not very keen to continue with the show, but at that time so much opinion had failed that, some people took things apart. – Took it apart. So much had happened that what to explain and what to say.
Misunderstanding between Kapil and Ali had taken place
Regarding Kapil Sharma, Ali Asghar said, “Unfortunately the incident between Kapil and Sunil (Kapil Sharma Sunil Grover Fight) happened at the same time. Maybe, Kapil didn’t know the reason for my leaving the show. I can’t cheat as an artist. How am I going to entertain the audience if I am not happy? So, then it felt better to leave the show and if something good happens then we can come together again.”
There was communication gap between Kapil and Ali
When Ali was asked why he didn’t try to clear misunderstandings with Kapil, the actor said, “We used to miss each other’s calls back then and there was a communication gap. We both moved on with time, but I am glad that I was a part of it and I learned a lot from him. I will always respect him. He understands the pulse of the audience and knows how to organize the show.”
In the end, Ali expressed his regret behind leaving the show and praised Kapil Sharma. Soon Ali Asghar will be seen in ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 10’.
