In Punjab, search operations are being conducted continuously by the police to crack down on drugs and to nab anti-social elements. Under this, a cardan and search operation was carried out at Derabassi in Mohali district this morning. The residential societies and colonies were surrounded and searched from all sides. Senior police officers were also present during this search. Dog squad was also present on this occasion.
During the search, police parties went to the houses and verified the people living on rent. The suspects were also interrogated. The police also thoroughly checked the items kept in the houses of the suspects. Apart from this, a search operation was also conducted in the settlements built in Derabassi. During this search, people were also made aware and were asked to share the information of any suspect.

According to the police, such surprise search operations are being carried out continuously. Their aim is to crack down on crime. Earlier this type of search has also been done in housing societies of Mohali, Kharar and Zirakpur. The police had also arrested many anti-social elements during such a search. Drug recovery was also done there.
Let us tell you that in May 2022, there was an attack from RPG in the building of Intelligence Headquarters of Punjab Police in Mohali. Security has been beefed up in the district after this incident. Mohali district being connected to Haryana and Chandigarh makes it easy for terrorists and gangsters to escape from here.
