- Police team recovered 6 domestic, 2 commercial and 2 small cylinders from the house of the accused who bought stolen cylinders
A cylinder was stolen from a shop late Tuesday night from the city’s old vegetable market. On Wednesday morning when the shop owner came to know about the cylinder being stolen, he checked the CCTV cameras installed nearby. In which the footage of the thief was captured. The thief was identified on the basis of CCTV footage. Who has been identified as Naveen Kumar alias Goru resident of Sinpura. The shop owner reached Sinpura to catch the thief, where he along with the Congress leader of the ward, Rajbir Bawa, reached the house of the said thief. He started running away from the spot. But they caught him. Police was informed on the spot.
Police of PCR and Thana City reached the spot and took the thief into custody. When the police team strictly interrogated the thief, he admitted that he has been doing the work of stealing cylinders for a long time and he sells the stolen cylinders to Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Sinpura. Which works to sell cylinders to people illegally and after buying stolen cylinders at low prices and selling them at higher prices. When the police team raided Ramesh Kumar’s house on the spot of the thief, he was not present in the house. But the police team has recovered 6 domestic, 2 commercial and 2 small cylinders purchased from his house. Apart from this, the police have also recovered an electronic stick from his house. The police also overpowered Ramesh Kumar a few hours later. When ASI Naveen Kumar of Thana City, who was probing the matter, was told that the thieves are being interrogated now. It is being ascertained from them that how many and from where they have stolen gas cylinders so far. There is a possibility that they may have more big revelations.
