This amount to be released by Prime Minister Modi in this program to be held in Pusa campus will be a direct support of Rs 6,000 annually for these farmers. This will be the 12th installment to be released to the farmers under this scheme. Also, the total amount given to the farmers under the scheme will increase to Rs 2.16 lakh crore.
Will introduce subsidized urea bags
The Prime Minister will inaugurate 600 ‘PM Kisan Samridhi Kendras’ and also introduce subsidized urea bags bearing ‘Bharat’ brand under the ‘One Nation, One Fertilizer’ scheme. Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that the Prime Minister will also present ‘Bharat Urea Bag’ during the program. He said the government is making it mandatory for companies to sell subsidized fertilizers under the ‘Bharat’ brand. In the ‘PM Kisan Samman Sammelan 2022’ to be jointly organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Fertilizers, PM Modi will release the international weekly fertilizer e-magazine ‘Indian Age’.
Will get help of Rs 2,000 every month
PM will also inaugurate the agriculture startup program and exhibition. The PM-Kisan scheme was launched in February 2019. Under this, a small and marginal farmer is given an assistance of Rs 2,000 every month. Under this, an amount of Rs 6,000 is given in one installment for three months.
What is PM Kisan Samman Yojana
The purpose of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is to help the poor farmers financially. The details of farmer’s income, assets etc. are filled on the format given by the central government. The bank account and other information of the farmer is given in the Agriculture Department. On completion of verification, 2 thousand rupees come to the farmer’s account thrice a year (once in 4 months).
