- Asaduddin Owaisi Saught Bail Cancellation Of Hapur Attack Accused In Supreme Court

All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) national president and MP Asaduddin Owaisi has petitioned the Supreme Court against the bail of his attackers. Owaisi was fired upon near the toll plaza in Hapur on February 3 during the 2022 UP assembly elections. The attackers were Sachin Sharma and Shubham Gurjar.
Both of them have been granted bail by the Allahabad High Court. Against this Owaisi has moved the Supreme Court. A bench of Justice MR Shah will hear on Friday.
Owaisi was left narrowly
The incident took place on February 3 at Chhijarsi toll plaza located on NH-9 of Pilkhua in West UP. Owaisi was returning to Delhi after campaigning in Meerut’s Kithor assembly constituency. The attackers had fired four rounds. Owaisi’s car had a hole in the lower part of it after being hit by two bullets. Owaisi had narrowly escaped.
One accused was immediately arrested by the police, while the other accused surrendered. When both of them reached their village after getting bail, they were given a warm welcome.
Z security was found after the attack
After the attack in Hapur, Owaisi was given Z security. Although he had said in Parliament that I do not want Z security. I’m not afraid of death. We all have to leave the world one day. I don’t want security, the poor of the country should be safe. The people of UP will answer the bullets to those who shoot with ballot.
The police had arrested both the attackers Sachin and Shubham.
