Punjab Sports Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hare has expressed grief over the demise of Inderjit Kaur, mother of Olympian shooter Avneet Kaur Sidhu. Mrs Inderjit Kaur, who was 62 years old, passed away last night in Bathinda. She has left behind her husband, son and daughter.

The Sports Minister shared his grief with the Sidhu family and said that while Inderjit Kaur has contributed a lot to the teaching profession, she played a big role in promoting her daughter Avneet Kaur Sidhu in the field of sports, noting that There are girls in Malwa.
