Manchester United may not sign both Cody Gakpo and Antony during this summer’s transfer window, according to The Telegraph.
The Red Devils are aiming to reinforce their attack before the transfer deadline, and Antony is regarded as the top target.
Their latest bid of £68m has been rejected by Ajax, and it is claimed that the club are reluctant to make another offer for the Brazilian.
Amidst this, PSV Eindhoven’s Cody Gakpo is also on the club’s radar, and he could be prised away for as low as £38m plus add-ons.
According to The Telegraph, United are working parallelly on both deals, but they are expected to sign just one player this summer.
It is said that the club don’t have the funds to sign both attackers, and it could be one or the other before the transfer window closes.
As things stand, a deal for Gakpo seems more likely. Ajax want a staggering £84m for Antony which United are reluctant to pay.
