Police has started cracking down on drug smugglers in Kasba Khanna of Ludhiana city of Punjab. Police have arrested a person with 3 kg of opium. The arrested accused is so clever that he was putting youths studying in colleges or schools in the business of drug smuggling.
Using educated youth, the accused used to get the opium delivered from one place to another. This was the third affair of the accused in Khanna. The accused was seen by the police from GT Road going towards Bhai Diyal Colony from Sua Patri Bhatiya.

When the accused was asked for checking on suspicion, he tried to run away but the police chased him and caught him. When the accused was searched, the police recovered 3 kg opium from the accused. The accused has been identified as Rahul Kumar in village Unta Gandharia, Thana Chatra, Jharkhand. The accused is 20 years old now. Sometimes he used to bring opium in the bus or train. Most of the accused used to travel by bus so that he could avoid checking etc.
Giving information, SSP Pragya Jain said that the police had secret information that the accused had smuggled opium twice before. Today he has come again to smuggle opium. The accused has been caught by trapping. It used youth to smuggle drugs. The accused fell on the path of drug smuggling in the pursuit of becoming rich soon. The accused has been arrested. The accused will be produced in the court and remand will be taken so that it can be known to whom it has delivered the drug.
