Salman Rushdie badly injured
Currently, Hadi Matar of Fairview, New Jersey, has not pleaded guilty and is being held in the Chautauqua County Jail. On the other hand, Rushdie, who was injured by the attack, may have been removed from the ventilator, but he is feared to have lost one eye. Along with this, his liver has also been damaged after the attack with the knife.
