In the month of September 2012, three companies of Gautam Adani were listed on the stock exchange. The total market cap of the group companies at that time was Rs 48,692 crore. On 13 September 2013 when the Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) was declared as its PM candidate when the market cap of Adani group companies was Rs 51,573 crore. After the 2014 Loksabha Elections, when the results were coming, the market cap of the Adani Group was Rs 122,206 crore. At that time only three companies of the Adani group were listed on the stock exchange. In December 2019, the market cap rose to the level of Rs 2 lakh crore. During this time 5 companies of the Adani Group were listed on the stock exchange.
Amazing jump in the group’s market cap during the Corona period
But during the Corona period (Covid-19 Pandemic), there was a tremendous rise in the shares of Adani Group companies and on 18 June 2021, the market cap of the Adani Group reached Rs 7.89 lakh crore and a total of six companies were listed. And as on 30 August 2022, seven companies of the Adani group are listed on the stock exchange and the total market cap is close to Rs 20.31 lakh crore. That is, from 2012 to 2022 i.e. in a decade, the market cap of the Adani Group has increased 42 times.
49 times jump in assets
According to the Forbes list, Gautam Adani was ranked 609th in 2014 with a net worth of $2.80 billion. But according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Gautam Adani has now become the third richest person in the world with $137 billion. In 2022, his wealth has increased by $ 60.9 billion. Which is the biggest increase in any of this property. So in the last 8 years, Gautam Adani’s wealth has increased 49 times.
