The FBI said that Donald Trump kept dozens of confidential documents, including top secret intelligence, at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
Revised affidavit issued
Many important details related to the investigation have been given in the affidavit issued, although the FBI officials have also made some amendments to prevent the identity of the witnesses and the modus operandi of the investigation. The FBI gave this affidavit to a judge to obtain a warrant for the raid on Trump’s residence.
Trump strongly condemns FBI raid
The affidavit sheds new light on the initial batch of 15 boxes of materials that Trump handed over to the US government in January after months of bargaining with Justice Department officials. According to the affidavit, those boxes were kept in a non-secured room for more than a year. Among them were 184 confidential documents, of which 25 were kept secret. Analysis of his content raised the alarm in the Justice Department, and then the FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-People resort in Palm Beach, Florida, on August 8. In this, a large number of boxes containing secret documents were recovered. At the same time, Trump, who is preparing for 2024, has strongly criticized the FBI’s raid.
