The forecast of the Central Water Commission says that by 8 am today, the water level of the Ganges will come down to 71.53 meters. At the same time, till late evening it can go up to 72 meters.
The situation is worse in Maruthinagar area. People are getting displaced with children and parents. No rescue boat has reached here.
Big shops are sinking

The office of the Water Police at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi is almost on the verge of drowning. Water has now started coming on the roads of Gadauliya.
