Earthquake in Indonesia: An earthquake of 6.4 magnitude occurred on Tuesday (August 23) from South Sumatra, Indonesia. According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at around 10.30 pm on the southwest coast, about 50 kilometers from the province of South Sumatra. GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said, the earthquake was at a depth of 10 kilometers. However, no casualty or heavy damage has been reported so far.

On the other hand, an earthquake also occurred in Malaysia. The National Center for Seismology said a 6.2-magnitude earthquake struck 253 km northeast of Kuala Lumpur at around 8 pm local time. Here too, there has been no loss of life or property.
