Central Railway Nagpur Divisional Manager Richa Khare inspected the Betul railway station on Saturday. DRM ignored that problem of Ganj area in his inspection. Which the common people have to deal with everyday. He did not pay heed to the problem of trucks leaving the warehouse being parked in the railway premises, passing through the busiest areas till morning and evening, thus causing fear of accidents.
No attention was paid to the problem of frequent closure of lifts, leakage of ticket houses and other passenger sheds, poor sanitation, unhygienic conditions in passenger toilets, illegal vendors. Along with this, the proposal to prepare accessible toilets was also ignored.
DRUCC member Deepu Saluja has termed the visit as a mere sham. He said that the railway management did not give any information regarding this tour to the members of the railway committees.
