What is the claim of social media?
Nowadays, claims are being made on social media about the change of banking rules. It has been told in the viral message that now customers will be able to do 40 transactions free in a year on the savings bank account. After this, for the 41st transaction, you will have to pay a fee of Rs 57.5. Along with this, it is also being claimed on social media that for doing more than 4 transactions in a month, you will have to pay a total of Rs 173. Let us tell you that PIB Fact Check has fact-checked the message going viral on social media. In this fact check it has been found that this message is completely fake. State Bank of India has not fixed any kind of limit on its customers for savings account and ATM transactions. Along with this, the changed rules on check payment, the claim of increased transaction fees for sending money abroad are also completely bogus. No such decision has been taken by RBI, Government or State Bank.

Know here ATM transaction limit
It has been learned from PIB Fact that every customer can do up to 5 transactions in a month for free. Along with this, transactions are free at 3 other bank ATMs in a day in 6 metro cities of SBI like Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad. Along with this, the bank has not fixed the limit of 40 transactions of the year in the savings account.
