The names of candidates have been finalized for 45 out of 68 Congress seats in Himachal. Now the names of the candidates of 23 seats will be churned in Delhi on 7 October. On this day, Congress has called a meeting of the second round of screening committee in Delhi. In this, an attempt will be made to screen the tickets on all the seats. The first screening committee meeting was proposed on October 2.
Explain that in the meeting, efforts will be made to agree on the names of candidates for 23 seats and the names of two to three contenders will be sent to the Center Election Committee. The final decision on the ticket will be taken by the Center Election Committee (CEC). In the first round of the meeting, the CEC finalized the names of 45 seats. Out of these, CEC has also put stamp on about 39 seats. Ticket holds have been kept on the remaining seats.
After this, Congress leaders have camped in Delhi and in their own way are engaged in meeting the top leaders of the state Congress and Sonia Gandhi to get the ticket confirmed. Let us inform that this time the State Congress Committee has sought online applications from the interested candidates for election tickets. Around 360 claimants have applied for 23 seats.
These leaders will be included in the screening committee
AICC has constituted a screening committee under the chairmanship of Deepa Dasmunshi. In this, Umang Singhar and Dheeraj Gurjar have been made members. Himachal Congress in-charge Rajiv Shukla, State President Pratibha Singh, Legislature Party leader Mukesh Agnihotri, election campaign committee chief Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and co-in-charge and secretary of All India Congress Committee are the ex-officio members of this screening committee.
Fake list of claimants went viral again
Fake list of Congress ticket claimants in the state is again going viral on social media today. In this, it has been claimed to fix tickets for 18 seats. Calling it fake, the party has appealed not to look into it.
