Council staff overthrowing the board from JCB.
Raman Kumar, a clerk of the city council, has been suspended in connection with the removal of the board in the name of the colony on Kali Mata Mandir Road in Dinanagar town of Gurdaspur district of Punjab. The Executive Officer (EO) of the council, Ashok Kumar has taken action under the Municipal Act 1911. Raman Kumar is accused of giving wrong information about the matter.
this was the case
Colonizer Darpan Berry told that the colony built on Kali Mata Mandir Road was developed in the name of Berry Avenue. This name of the colony was duly recorded in the records of the city council. After which the employees of the city council themselves got the board of Berry Avenue installed. But 2 people living there created a dispute about it. In view of the dispute, Darpan Beri got a stay from the court on behalf of the colonizer. Yet a man wiped Berry Avenue with paint on the board. Due to which the case of contempt of court against him is going on in a separate court.
Re-imposed board in the colony.
Employee’s house in this colony
Naib Tehsildar Abhishek Verma was appointed for investigation to know the real situation from the court’s side. Who told in his report on 17 May 2022 that the name has been erased by putting black paint on one of the three boards along Berry Avenue in the colony. The house of city council employee Raman Kumar is also in this colony. On August 9, the board was uprooted by bringing a JCB machine from the city council. A legal notice was sent to the executive officer on the removal of the board despite the court’s stay on the part of the colonizer.
EO wrote this in order
After investigating the matter, executive officer Ashok Kumar suspended the council employee Raman Kumar. He wrote in his order that he took over as the executive officer of the council on 6 July. According to the instructions of the government, notices were issued to remove illegal occupations and unauthorized and illegal colonies that came into existence.
Clerk Raman Kumar got the colony board removed on August 9 by giving him wrong information despite the stay of the court. For this action, clerk Raman Kumar is relieved of duty with immediate effect. The defect sheet in the case will be issued later.
