CBI raided for 13 hours at 21 places including Lucknow, the house of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. A CBI team was also raided in the Vibhuti Khand police station area of Lucknow regarding the matter related to the Deputy CM of Delhi. In the raid that lasted for about 9 hours, the CBI has recovered many important documents from the flat of Omaxe Heights Apartment in Vibhuti Khand.
CBI raids Manoj Rai’s house in Omaxe Heights apartment
The CBI team has conducted simultaneous raids at the house of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and 21 places associated with him from 8:00 am on Friday. Around 24 teams of CBI conducted 13 hours of raids. In Delhi, companies related to liquor business and three IAS officers have been raided. The CBI searched the house of Manoj Rai, who lives in Omaxe Heights Apartment in Vibhuti Khand of Lucknow, for about eight hours. Manoj Rai lives in apartment number 1003. CBI has recovered many important documents from here and returned to Delhi.

Manoj Rai is a former employee of the liquor company
The first name in the FIR registered by the CBI is that of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. The name at number six is of Manoj Rai, a resident of Lucknow in the FIR. Manoj Rai has been a former employee of the liquor trading company. Manoj Rai has been posted in an important position in M/s Parnad Research Company of Delhi.
Making raids political gimmicks condemnable: Akhilesh
The reaction of former Chief Minister and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has come after the CBI raids on the residence and offices of Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia. It has been said by tweeting that making raids a political gimmick is condemnable.
How did the whole controversy begin?
The Chief Secretary of Delhi had submitted his report two months ago. The report found violation of GNCTD Act 1991, Transaction of Business Rules 1993, Delhi Excise Act 2009 and Delhi Excise Rules 2010.
Sisodia has also been accused that the rules were ignored in giving license on the pretext of Corona. After the tender, Rs 144 crore of liquor contractors was waived, for now the CBI investigation is going on on all these aspects.
