Arsenal quartet miss US trip

The Gunners recently played out a 1-1 draw against Nurnberg, and they are now expected to face MLS All Stars, Manchester United and Barcelona in the United States.

New signings Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz have all made the trip, but the Gunners have left out Pepe and Lokonga as they are currently nursing injuries.

Meanwhile, Soares has also not made the travelling squad. The Portuguese is deemed surplus to requirements, and is expected to be sold in the coming weeks by the Gunners.

Tavares is on holiday, but he likewise has no future at the club. He is reportedly attracting plenty of transfer interest. West Ham and Galatasaray are among his admirers.

Arsenal bought Tavares from Benfica for around £8m two years ago, but they are looking for at least £25m to sanction his sale during the ongoing transfer window.
