Arsenal could secure the services of Leicester City playmaker Youri Tielemans on transfer deadline day, according to Dean Jones.
The Gunners have held a long-term interest in the Belgian, but they are yet to make a formal bid for his services this summer.
It has been reported that personal terms have been agreed, but a deal could be delayed until the final stages of the transfer window.
Leicester City wanted £30m for Tielemans earlier this summer, but could be forced to accept a cut-price deal in the coming weeks.
Jones claims that the Gunners are playing the waiting game on the 25-year-old, and could make a late raid before the deadline on September 1.
Tielemans’ current deal with the Foxes expires in June next year. He has no plans of putting pen-to-paper on a new long-term contract.
The Midlands outfit have their hands tied at the moment, considering Tielemans either wants to join Arsenal or run down his existing deal.
