These new rates will be applicable from 17 August 2022 i.e. tomorrow. Earlier today, the country’s biggest milk company Amul has also decided to increase the price of its milk by Rs 2 per liter. These rates will also be applicable from August 17, 2022.

Know how much milk will you get?
Let us tell you that the company has announced on Tuesday that it is going to increase all its types of milk by Rs 2 per liter. After this increase, Mother Dairy Full Cream Milk will now get Rs 61 a liter. Earlier it was getting Rs 59 per liter. While toned milk will now get Rs 51 per liter instead of Rs 45. At the same time, cow’s milk will now be available at Rs 53 per liter. With this, token milk will now get Rs 46 per liter instead of Rs 48.

Why did Mother Dairy increase the price?
Mother Dairy has said that for the last 5 months, the total cost and operational cost of the company has increased. The prices given to farmers have increased by 10-11% in the last few years. Along with this, due to heat and increase in the price of animal feed, now the company will have to pass the burden on the customers.

Amul also increased the price of milk
Significantly, the Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF) has increased the prices of Amul Milk by 4%. Since then, Amul milk has become costlier by Rs 2 per liter. After this increase, the prices of gold (Amul Gold), Amul Shakti and Amul Taza have all increased. Amul Gold is getting Rs 62 per liter, Amul Shakti Rs 56 per liter and Amul Taza is getting Rs 50 per liter. With this, half a liter of Amul Gold will cost Rs 31 and Amul Fresh for Rs 25 and half liter of Amul Shakti will now cost Rs 28.

Milk prices increased in March also
Let us tell you that earlier Mother Dairy had increased the prices of milk in the month of March as well. At that time the company had taken this decision due to rising prices of petrol and diesel and increase in transportation cost.
