When the police reached the spot, the body was found lying on the railway tracks.
A youth crossing the railway track under police station Rura of Kanpur countryside came under the grip of a goods train and died on the spot. The police, who reached the information, took the body in possession and sent it for post-mortem and informed the family members about the incident.

Alok Kumar, a resident of Rura in Kanpur Dehat, had come back to Rura from Jhinjhak by Gomti Express and was going to his home in Ram Nagar after getting down from the train. During this, he came under the grip of a goods train while crossing the up railway track in front of DFCC line between the railway station and the western cabin. Due to which he died on the spot.
As soon as the information about the incident reached the spot, the police took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem and informed the family members. On receiving the information, the family reached the spot, while seeing the dead body of the husband, his wife Baby became infuriated. While mother Geeta was in a bad condition crying.
Advance action will be taken after post-mortem
Police station in-charge Rura said that the body has been sent for post-mortem after taking possession. Advance action will be taken after the post-mortem report comes.
