Wrestlers Bajrang Punia and Vinesh Phogat, who were involved in the protest against former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, have threatened to quit their railway jobs. He has joined his duty on Monday itself. He was on leave since the beginning of the movement on 23 April.
On the other hand, Sangwan Khap-40 has called Sarvakhap Sarvajati Mahapanchayat in Balali village of Charkhi Dadri district on 7th June. In which Vinesh and Sangeeta Phogat will be called.
Earlier on Sunday night, Delhi Police’s SIT has taken statements of 12 of Brij Bhushan’s close friends, including family, co-workers and security at Brij Bhushan’s house in Bishnoharpur. SIT has so far taken statements of 137 people in this case.
Meanwhile, after the wrestlers returned to duty, news came that the minor wrestler, who had accused Brij Bhushan of sexual exploitation, had turned hostile. According to the claim, the minor gave the statement at Delhi’s Connaught Place police station. After this he was taken to Patiala House Court, where he took back the statement. All three wrestlers have also withdrawn their names from the movement.

Brijbhushan can get relief
If the minor wrestler withdraws the complaint, then the POCSO Act will be removed from Brij Bhushan. In such a situation, the case of molestation will be saved and there will be no need to arrest them first.

The minor wrestler’s father said, “The daughter won gold in the Junior Wrestling Championship at the National Games in Ranchi, Jharkhand at the age of 16. It was here, on the pretext of taking photographs, that Brijbhushan forcibly pulled the daughter close to him. Held her so tightly in his arms. She couldn’t even move to free herself. Brijbhushan took his hand down from her shoulder.”
