Women break the fast by worshiping the moon; by worshiping the moon, the married people sought every happiness of their husband from Shiva-Parvati

As the moon rose, the women saw their husbands through a sieve.

By observing a Nirjala fast for the whole day, along with the sight of the moon, she broke the fast at the hands of her husband. After doing sixteen adornments, the married people prayed to Lord Shiva and Parvati Maa for happiness, prosperity and long life of their husband. As soon as the moon came out, the married women completed the fast by showing the moon with a drink with a sieve. Mahavrat of unbroken good fortune was seen from house to house including Swaroop Nagar, Aryanagar, Govind Nagar, Gumti.

At many places, hundreds of married people followed the ancient tradition by performing mass worship. After duly worshiping, Sajni took selfie with Piya and expressed happiness by receiving the gift.

The ancient tradition was seen in the Karva Chauth worship on Thursday at Park located in Pandunagar, Model Town, Durga Mandir in Govind Nagar and Sanatan Dharma Mandir in Kaushalpuri. In the temple and in the park, the married people prayed for the long life of the husband by performing collective worship.

Suhagins listened to the story by singing hymns to Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati in the Sanatan Dharma Mandir located in Kaushalpuri. Similarly, in the Durga temple located in Govind Nagar, the honeymooners kept waiting for the moon for the worship plate. As soon as the moon came out, after performing the worship rituals, the married people sang hymns on the beat of the dholak.

Women also sought happiness from God along with the longevity of their husbands.

Husbands also kept the fast of Karva Chauth
A large number of honeymooners saw the moon from the apartments of Kalyanpur, Shyam Nagar, Swaroop Nagar, Nawabganj and NRI City. Ragini Awasthi of Bhavani Nagar, husband Amar Awasthi and Laxmi of Barra observed the first Karva Chauth fast for Gaurav Omar. There were fireworks till late in the night.
