The body of a woman was found lying on the road in Jagraon town of Ludhiana district of Punjab. The body was lying on the road leading to Aligarh and Malak. The family members of the woman got information that the body of a woman has been found by the police which has been kept at the Civil Hospital Morchery in Jagraon.

When the girl’s maternal family saw the dead body, they recognized that it was the dead body of their daughter. The condition of the dead body was very bad. It is being told that the body looked as if insects had eaten it. Due to this the family members staged a sit-in outside the Civil Hospital Jagraon.
In this case, the health officials of Jagraon said that the way the body has been kept here by the police, the body is lying in the same way. The girl’s family members also raised slogans against the civil hospital administration.
At the same time, the girl who died, mother Kulwinder Kaur said that her daughter Manpreet Kaur alias Pooja was married on 10-12-2018 with Bachitar Singh alias Fateh. A son of the daughter Jasmanveer Singh was born. After some time his son-in-law, Sukhjinder Kaur, a woman who lived in Moga, took her away.
He strongly opposed this. Eventually everyone decided that the daughter and her daughter would live in a separate room in the village Gagda itself. After a few days, son-in-law Bachitar Singh, Sukhjinder Kaur, father-in-law Chadhat Singh, Nand Sandeep Kaur CP, Mandeep Kaur alias Deepi, Rajji, Sukhjinder Kaur’s father Nirbhai Singh, Karmjit Kaur started harassing her. Keep trying to get Pooja out of the house. The accused kept threatening to kill her and her daughter.
A few days later son-in-law Bachitar Singh sent a letter by post in which he had written that he should get his daughter married somewhere else or else he would kill her. According to Kulwinder Kaur, on 4-10-2022, he came to know that his couple Jasmanpreet Singh was roaming in the street crying. He called daughter Pooja but her phone was switched off.
He himself went to her in-laws’ house and talked to the panchayat and searched for the daughter, but nothing was found about her. Today, he had received information from somewhere that the dead body of a woman was lying in the Jagraon mortuary, when he saw the dead body, he was recognized.
According to Kulwinder Kaur, they want justice. Those who are accused in this case should be arrested by taking strict action against them. At the same time, in the civil hospital, action should be taken against those who did not handle the dead body. It is being told that the girl’s family is preparing to block the GT road in Jagraon in a short time.
In the in-laws’ side, a case has been registered against husband Bachitar Singh, Sukhjinder Kaur, Chadhat Singh, Nand Sandeep Kaur, Mandeep Kaur, Rajji, Nirbhai, Karamjit Kaur.
