The government gives a loan of Rs 60,000 for a buffalo, Rs 40,000 for a cow, Rs 720 for a chicken and Rs 4000 for a sheep/goat. You get this loan to bank or financial institution Pashu Kisan Credit Card holders at only 4 percent. Animal farmers get loan in 6 equal installments. Farmers have to repay this loan within 5 years. Usually, banks give loans to farmers at an interest rate of 7 percent, but in the case of Pashu Kisan Credit Card, animal farmers get a rebate of 3 percent from the government.
