In Bathinda, Punjab, on Sunday, family members and villagers staged a sit-in in front of the DC office demanding to bring back the youth trapped in Malaysia. Angry villagers blocked the Bathinda-Mansa highway for some time as the administration did not take care of them for several hours. During this, the villagers demanded to register a case against the cheating agent. During this, the protesters accused the administration of cooperating with the agent. He also warned that till the matter is not resolved, the struggle will continue.
According to the information, Khushdeep Singh, a resident of village Bajak, was sent to Malaysia about 5 and a half years ago. There his passport has also been taken away. He is constantly appealing to his parents to bring him back to India. The members of the victim’s family said that with the cooperation of the villagers and the Dalit Mahapanchayat, they staged a dharna in front of the DC office demanding justice.
According to the protesters, the parents of the victim youth are appealing to bring him back. At the same time, they are demanding action against the fraudster, but so far no one has taken care of them. The protesters said that the agent is continuously threatening the family, but the police-administration is not ready to listen to the victims.

However, police officials are appealing to the protesters to lift the dharna by assuring early action. However, the protesters say that the struggle will continue until Khushdeep is brought back from Malaysia and strict action is not taken against the agent.
