Former Punjab cabinet minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu, arrested in the transportation tender scam, was produced by the Vigilance in the court around 4 pm on Tuesday. After arguments between the two sides, the court sent Ashu to Vigilance remand till August 27.

Let us tell you that MP Ravneet Singh Bittu has already said that Teluram has told in the court that he does not know Bharat Bhushan Ashu. On the other hand, the Vigilance officers have got Ashu’s remand for 4 days, then somewhere, many alleged people like Teluram will prepare Vigilance to accuse Ashu.

It is being told that by sitting in such a tent, where Bharat Bhushan Ashu will get strength sitting in the Vigilance office. At the same time, the Vigilance and the government will have full fear that Ashu should not be harassed. MP Bittu had even said that whenever any Vigilance has to interrogate Ashu, it should be in front of his lawyer.

In the labor transportation tender scam, the accused used to transport goods by putting fake number plates on the vehicles in the grain markets. At the same time, the accused got the numbers of the wrong vehicles written in the department before taking the tender. During investigation, it was found that the numbers which were written were of two-wheelers like scooters, bikes etc. Vehicles having this number are not valid for carrying goods.

In this case, about two months ago, on behalf of some transport owners and contractors, the then cabinet minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu was accused of benefitting some contractors and contractors and cheating of crores of rupees. Now after the investigation in this case, the Vigilance has started making arrests by registering an FIR. Ashu is also accused of tendering scam of 2 thousand crores.
