Gurugram Couple Sacked From Jobs: A Gurugram couple arrested for allegedly torturing and sexually assaulting a minor domestic help have been sacked from their jobs. A social worker disclosed the entire matter to rescue the girl, after which the couple was arrested. The girl was badly tortured by the husband and wife. For five months the victim girl was beaten with sticks, blades and hot tongs. On Thursday (09 February), the police started looking for the placement agency through which the minor girl was hired as a domestic help.
Both the PR agency the woman worked for and the insurance company where her husband was employed took to Twitter to announce the dismissal, news agency PTI reported. The couple, who work in a private company, used sticks and blades to assault the girl. He was also fired with hot tongs. On Kamaljit Kaur being fired, the PR agency tweeted “We are shocked to learn about the human rights and child abuse allegations against Kamaljit Kaur. As an organization, we respect the Indian legal system and Strongly against all kinds of human rights abuses. The company has terminated his services with immediate effect.”

The insurance company in which Manish was employed tweeted that it believes in maintaining high standards of moral and ethical conduct at all times. The company said, “We have fired the person with immediate effect.” Meanwhile, the police have started looking for the placement agency through which the girl was hired.

Used to torture by locking in the house
The FIR states that the victim, a resident of Ranchi in Jharkhand, was hired through a placement agency. A joint team of Police and One Stop Crisis Center Sakhi rescued the girl from New Colony. Later, an FIR was lodged by Pinky Malik, in-charge of Sakhi Kendra. According to the FIR, the girl is 17 years old and not 14 as stated earlier by a police officer. According to the FIR, Manish Kaur used to strip her and hurt her private parts. The victim said that the couple imprisoned her in their house and did not allow her to talk to her family.
