UP’s big news: Youth shot dead in Azamgarh, accused of murder in land dispute

A young man was shot dead in Azamgarh late on Friday night. On information, police of several police stations including SP City Shailendra Lal reached the spot. Police have also taken two people into custody. A land dispute is said to be the reason for the murder.

Rahul Yadav (25), a resident of Towan village of Nizamabad police station area, had gone shopping in Saraimer market late at night. While returning home, some people shot and killed Rahul near the village. Hearing the sound of bullets, the people of the surrounding reached the spot and saw that the young man was lying in a pool of blood.

People informed the ambulance along with the police. By the time the ambulance reached the spot, the young man was already dead. Local people who reached the spot say that the deceased was having a land dispute with his tenants. The police sent the body for postmortem only late in the night.

Rudal Yadav, the uncle of the deceased, has filed a case against his three pattidars at the Nizamabad police station late last night.
