He said that Jammu and Kashmir remains an integral and inseparable part of India, irrespective of what the representative of Pakistan believes. “Pakistan’s desperate attempt to spread lies and bad habit of abusing the sanctity of multilateral forums evokes collective contempt and perhaps even sympathy,” he said.

‘Reform has stalled for too long’
Earlier, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj made the G4 statement at the UNGA on equal representation of the UN Security Council. Kamboj tweeted on Thursday, “Today I made the G4 statement at the UNGA on equal representation of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). The longer reform is stalled, the greater the lack of representation that threatens the legitimacy and effectiveness of the Security Council.” an indispensable precondition.”
The Permanent Representative of India stressed that the time is right to bring the Security Council in line with its Charter responsibility to act on behalf of the entire membership. “This will not be achieved without increasing membership in both categories. Only this will enable the Council to effectively manage today’s global conflicts and increasingly complex and interconnected global challenges,” he added.
