Jalandhar Police has arrested two drug smugglers as part of the campaign launched against drug smugglers. Both these smugglers are residents of Amritsar. Both of them had come to Jalandhar on Activa scooter to supply heroin from Amritsar.
CIA staff has recovered 700 grams of heroin from the possession of the arrested accused. Lovepreet alias Labhu K and Vishwas Kumar were searched in front of them. 400 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of Lovepreet alias Labhu and 300 grams of heroin from the possession of Vishwas Kumar.

Lovepreet is addicted to drugs and a case of drug smuggling has been registered against her in the past as well. The DCP said that their remand would be obtained by presenting them in the court. During interrogation, it will be ascertained from where they had brought the supply of drugs and where they were going to give them.

Both the arrested accused have made many revelations during interrogation. Both of them have also told the police about the place they used to bring this drug from their third friend in Amritsar. Both told that after being released on bail, they did not have any business. He chose drug trade to earn easy money.
Both told that he used to buy drugs from a friend in Amritsar. He used to buy heroin with him at Rs 2500 per gram. After this, he used to sell his customers who are addicted to drugs at the rate of Rs 3200 to Rs 3500 per gram.
