Bhagya Laxmi Yojana Details: The central and state governments run various schemes to make the future of the girl child bright. The aim of all these schemes is to enable the girls to become self-reliant. The name of one such government scheme is Bhagya Laxmi Yojana. Through this scheme, the Uttar Pradesh government is trying to make the girls of the state self-reliant. In this scheme, the government gives financial assistance of Rs 50,000 to children for their education from birth. This help is given to the people from the economically weaker sections. Even today there are many people in the society who consider daughters a burden. In such a situation, the government of Uttar Pradesh has started this scheme to bring equality between men and women and to prevent crimes like female feticide.

Know about Bhagya Laxmi Yojana?
People from economically weaker sections can take advantage of this scheme. Under this scheme, the government gives financial assistance of Rs 50,000 in different installments to the parents on the birth of a daughter. First of all, after the birth of a daughter, the government first gives financial help of Rs 5100. Through this, the newborn baby and mother can be well taken care of. Along with this, the parents of the girl child get a bond of Rs 50,000.

Daughters get this benefit
Apart from the bond of Rs 50,000 and Rs 5100 for the birth of the girl child, the government also gives her education expenses. 3,000 rupees financial assistance is available when the girl child reaches 6th standard. After this, Rs 5,000 in class 8, Rs 7,000 in class 10 and Rs 8,000 in class 12 is given. With this, after the girl child completes 21 years of age, she gets financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh. In this entire scheme, a total financial assistance of 23 thousand rupees and 50,000 rupees is provided for the education of the girl child, which becomes 2 lakh till maturity.

Eligibility to take advantage of the scheme-

  • The family should have the residence certificate of Uttar Pradesh (UP Domicile).
  • The family income should not exceed Rs 2 lakh per annum.
  • You can take advantage of the scheme within one year after the birth of the girl child.
  • The girl child should not be married below 18 years of age.
  • The education of the girl child should be from a government school.
  • The family should be living below the poverty line.

  5. Birth Certificate of the girl child
  6. Bank Passbook

  8. Aadhar Card of parents

You can apply for this scheme at your home’s Common Service Center ie E-Mitra Kendra. Keep in mind that you will not have to pay any kind of fee in the application of this scheme.
