Three people arrested for killing cow in Bhopal, NSA will be imposed


Bhopal: An alleged incident of cow slaughter took place on Tuesday in Paras Nagar under Gandhi police station area of ​​Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh. Gandhi Nagar police station in-charge Arun Sharma said that on the basis of information, the police team reached the spot and saw three people with blood-stained sharp weapons. Sharma said that on seeing the police team, all three tried to run away from the spot, but the police caught them. According to Arun Sharma, during interrogation all the three accused have confessed to killing the cow.

Preparation to impose Rasuka on the accused
A police officer told on Wednesday that action is being taken to impose the National Security Act (Rasuka) against the three accused. The illegal construction of the house of an accused of killing a cow has been demolished. The police officer said that the three accused have been identified as Imran (30), Irshad (28) and Javed (30). These three people have been arrested after registering a case under provisions of Madhya Pradesh Cow Prohibition Act, Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and Indian Penal Code. He said that the process of invoking the National Security Act (Rasuka) against the accused has been initiated.

What is Rasuka?
Rasuka allows the government to detain people without trial for up to one year if they are suspected of disrupting public order or endangering the security of India.

Illegal construction of the accused demolished
After the cow slaughter incident, the Bhopal administration on Wednesday demolished the ‘illegal’ construction at Irshad’s house. Describing the incident of cow slaughter as unfortunate, local MLA Rameshwar Sharma said that it is a serious issue as the intention of these people could be to incite communal tension.

BJP MLA demanded strict action
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA said he has asked the police to find out if more people were involved in the incident. He said that I have asked the police and the administration to take strict action in this matter.
