Delhi Murder Case: The wound of Delhi’s Shraddha Walkar murder case has once again become green. The latest case is also from Delhi where lover Sahil Gehlot, living in a live-in relationship, strangled his girlfriend Nikki Yadav to death and kept her dead body hidden in the fridge of his dhaba for several days. The deceased Niki Yadav was a resident of village Khedi in Jhajjar district. As soon as the information about Nikki’s murder was received, mourning spread in her family and village. Delhi Police has informed her family members about Nikki’s death.

According to the Delhi Police, the accused Sahil Gehlot was in a live-in relationship with Nikki Yadav. During interrogation, Sahil has revealed that in the year 2018 he was preparing for SSC. For this he used to go for coaching in Uttam Nagar. Nikki Yadav was a resident of village Khedi in Jhajjar district of Haryana and used to go to Uttam Nagar for medical preparation. During this, both used to travel by the same bus and there was a friendship between the two. After this, Sahil enrolled in D Pharma course at Galgotias University, Greater Noida. Nikki also took admission in English Honors in the same university. Both started living together in Greater Noida and during this time they also went to places like Rishikesh. During the lockdown, both returned to their respective homes.

Nikki Yadav’s father Sunil Kumar told that there was a deep friendship between Sahil and Nikki Yadav, but Sahil was married on 10 February. When Nikki came to know about this, she opposed this marriage, because she wanted to marry Sahil, but Sahil’s family members were not ready for this.
Sahil also did not want to go against his family members. On February 8 or 9, he had called the girl to meet her at Kashmiri Gate area. Police claim that during this meeting there was a heated exchange between the two and in this Sahil strangulated the girl to death. After committing the murder, he took the dead body of the girl in his car and went to his dhaba in Mitraon village and hid her body in the fridge here.

The dead body was recovered from inside the fridge in Sahil’s dhaba between 11 am and 11:30 am on Tuesday, 14 February. Police arrested Sahil and the body was sent to Rao Tularam Memorial Hospital for postmortem. The police is now trying to find out why Sahil, after killing the girl, hid her body in the fridge for about 4-5 days? Was Sahil planning to dispose of this girl’s body after chopping it into pieces like Shraddha’s? Delhi Police has a long list of all these questions and Sahil is being questioned in this regard.
