Delhi Crime: A case of theft of lakhs has come to light from a house in the posh area of South Delhi. According to the police, the thieves fled from the house with jewelery and cash worth lakhs. Its entire incident has been captured in the CCTV installed there.
According to the police, this incident took place at the house of retired Chief Architect from NDMC. At the same time, the allegation of theft has been leveled against a daily wage worker. He works as a painter. The police have registered a case on the basis of the complaint, and are investigating.
60 tola gold jewelery stolen
Police said that the incident took place on March 2 in Sainik Farm area of South Delhi. At the time of the incident, the owner of the house VK Bansal was sleeping in the bedroom. The victim said in his complaint that about Rs 1.5 lakh cash and at least 50 to 60 tola gold jewelery were stolen from his house. Also, the victim said that the ornaments that were stolen belonged to his late wife. He had been keeping it safe for a long time.
Police raiding
Police said that the CCTV footage has been scanned, after which the accused has been identified as Brahmdev Yadav. Brahmdev Yadav works as a daily wedges painter. The accused had carried out this incident on the evening of 2 March. After this he had absconded.
Police is investigating the accused after collecting all the evidence in this case. The police said that they are conducting raids at various places to nab the accused. Till now the accused has not been arrested, but according to the police, the accused will be caught soon.
