Rajpath Name Changed: A large number of people are expected to attend the inauguration ceremony to be held on Thursday after the name of Rajpath was changed to ‘Kurtavya Path’. In such a situation, Delhi Traffic Police started preparations so that no one has to face any problem. Traffic Police DCP Alap Patel told that the Rajpath, which will now be called the duty path, is opening after a long time. So many people of Delhi can come. There should be no jam on the way, people should not face any problem and in view of the security, the traffic police organized some special events.
Traffic on these roads will be diverted
Tomorrow i.e. on Thursday evening, general traffic will be diverted on Tilak Marg, Hexagon Bhagwan Das Road, Purana Qila Road, Shershah Road, Zakir Hussain Marg, Pandara Road, Copernicus Marg, Ashoka Road, Akbar Road, KG Marg and Shahjahan Road. Also, there will be no bus entry in New Delhi after 6 pm.
Police appealed to the people
In the evening, a cultural program organized by the Union Ministry, which will run till September 11, is also expected to attract a lot of people. In view of this, Delhi Traffic Police has appealed to the people not to come by their vehicles and bikes, use maximum public transport so that there is no jam. Please tell that this program will be from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
Delhi Metro made this preparation
The Delhi Traffic Police in association with the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) organized the Park and Ride facility, under which the bus will pick you up from Rajghat, Connaught Place, Bhairav Marg and Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and drop you off near the program. After your request, the bus will drop you back again.
What did the government prepare?
Following the request of the Delhi Traffic Police, the ministries and their departments decided that they would close the office after the post lunch.
