After this, a case of kidnapping was registered in Mangolpuri police station late in the night. Several police teams were deployed in the investigation. In the investigation, the owner of the cab was first traced from its registration number. It was found that he is a resident of Gurugram. Police said that after finding out the address of the cab, the police team was immediately sent there.

The police saw the same cab in the CCTV camera of IFFCO Chowk, Gurugram, from which it was found that this cab had passed through there at around 11:30 pm on Saturday. The police reached the owner of the cab and then traced the driver who was driving the cab during the night. The driver told the police that all three had boarded his cab. He was sitting to go from Rohini to Vikaspuri. He had booked the cab through Uber. Inside the car, there was an argument between the three about something and the girl got down from the cab in anger. After this both the boys again made him sit in the cab.

DCP Harendra Kumar Singh of Outer District says that in this case the statement of section 164 of the girl will be recorded before the magistrate. So far nothing like kidnapping has come to the fore. Statements of the girl are being taken in front of the counselor of the NGO.
