The Union Health Ministry has written a letter to the states instructing them to supply oxygen and maintain PSA oxygen plants.
Instructions for repairing oxygen supply
The Union Health Secretary has written a letter to the states alerting them to ensure the supply of oxygen plants in their respective states. The Center said in its letter, “The pace of corona infection in the country is very slow and the situation is under control. Despite this, we should be prepared in advance for the coming challenge.”
Instructions have been given to the state governments to check the oxygen plants in their states that they are all functional and start their mock drills from time to time. It has also been asked to ensure the supply of liquid oxygen. Instructions have been given to ensure the availability of liquid medical oxygen in health facilities and uninterrupted supply for their refilling.
Focus on life support system as well
The Center has directed the state governments to improve the life support system such as ventilators in hospitals. UP CM Yogi has also geared up as soon as he got instructions from the Centre. CM Yogi has ordered to start the old ICU and oxygen plant.
The Chief Minister has ordered the deployment of ICUs, ventilators, specialist doctors in every district. CM Yogi said, “Ensure the CMOs of all districts to ensure proper functioning of medical equipment, proper availability of doctors, paramedical staff in all hospitals.”
RT-PCR and random testing started
Random testing has started once again at Delhi airport. For this, the passengers will not have to pay any separate fee, nor will they be stopped after taking the sample. Passengers with symptoms will be dealt with as per protocol. Apart from this, there is also a big update today that RT-PCR has been made mandatory for travelers from some countries.
