A woman from a village in Khekra Kotwali of Baghpat district was raped twice by Jeth on the strength of a knife. At the same time, the husband gave triple talaq to the woman over the phone. The victim has filed a complaint against the accused and demanded action. Police has started investigation of the whole matter

In the Tahrir given in Kotwali, the woman told that in 2015 she was married to a youth resident of district Gautam Budh Nagar. After the marriage gave birth to a daughter, then the mother-in-law told the mother-in-law to bring one lakh rupees. For not bringing it, she continued to face beatings and harassment every day. It is alleged that in 2019 she was sleeping with her daughter in her room. Then Jeth reached the room and raped the daughter by pointing a knife at her. After about a year, when the husband told about this, he threatened to kill the daughter and her if she complained to anyone.

Gave birth to a second daughter in June 2020, when the mother-in-law refused to take her along with her. Till the past, she was living in the maternal house with both the daughters. She also stayed in her in-laws’ house for a few days, but then the husband left her with both the daughters. Told that in the past, the brother-in-law came to his maternal home and found him alone and raped him again on the strength of a knife. After a few days, the husband started living in the in-laws’ house and from here he started coming to Gautam Budh Nagar on the job.
When he again complained about Jeth’s actions, he was threatened. After a few days he went back to his house. It is alleged that on the morning of September 25, the husband called her and gave her triple talaq. The victim demanded action against the brother-in-law, husband and mother-in-law. Khekra Kotwali in-charge DK Tyagi says that after investigating the matter, action will be taken.
