In the results of the cleanliness survey announced by the central government, the performance of villages has been excellent as compared to the city. This is the reason that Faridabad has been ranked third in the state and 18th at the national level in the Rural Sanitation Survey. Talking about the urban area, Apna City has come at 36th place.

According to officials, the Rural Sanitation Survey was started four years ago in the year 2018. Faridabad was ranked 75th that year. In these four years, it has been able to achieve 18th ranking at the national level by improving rapidly. Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat honored Suman Bhakhar, the Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad, by giving the award in a program organized at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi on Sunday.

Survey not done for two years due to Corona period

Upendra Kumar, District Program Manager of Swachh Bharat Mission said that due to the Corona period in the year 2020 and 21, there was no cleanliness survey. Whereas in the survey conducted in the year 2022, the performance of the district was excellent. Ranked third in North India and the state. He said that in the ranking of four years ago, we have improved by 57 points, not one or two.

977 marks out of 1000

The District Program Manager informed that the Rural Sanitation Survey was of total 1000 marks. In which Faridabad has got 976.93 marks. He told that in the survey, mainly three points have got numbers. Citizen Feedback has got 349 marks out of total 350 marks. Got full 350 marks out of 350 for Service Level Progress. Whereas the Central Government team has given 278.84 marks to Faridabad out of 300 marks in its investigation. He said that cleanliness survey is a continuous process. Efforts will be made to improve it further so that next year it can be successful in making it to the top ten.
